Wallace and his son were traveling home late one evening; he quickly pulled the car over to the shoulder of the road.  He hated to admit it but he told Jerry that he was having a terrible time with his eyesight and it seemed that his eyes were failing.  He just could not see clearly on the dark roadway.  Jerry moved into the driver’s seat and eased onto the four lane road, the headlights peering into the darkness.  He hadn’t driven far when he realized the problem wasn’t his father’s fading eyesight.  The alternator on the car wasn’t working properly and it was causing the lights to grow dim. 

There are times when spiritually we do not see the meaning of a passage clearly and we need someone that better understands the Scriptures to help us see better.  There is no reason to be ashamed.  God often uses teachers to assist in explaining the Word but it is His Holy Spirit that enlightens our minds to better understand and apply the truths of His word to our lives.
