How To Win Cultists
|
 God certainly wants us to know His truth, and His Word the Bible is the proof of this fact. Jesus told us that He is the truth and knowing the truth will set us free. The Bible also teaches us that unbelievers have their minds blinded by our enemy, Satan. But God has sent His Son into the world to be the Light of the world, and now that He is back in Heaven with His Father, we as believers are the light of the world.
There are many cults in the world today, as well as false religions and false teachers. Yet we do not need to be deceived by them; we have the written Word of God in which to measure their teaching and to discern the truth from their error. However, the name of the game is evangelism, we want to win cultists to Christ! But the question is, how do we go about doing so? If unbelievers are spiritually blind, then how do we go about getting through to them? Thankfully, we do not have to do this by our own eloquence or wisdom. The secret to penetrating cultists' hearts is to stop trying to get through and just plant the seed of the Gospel! We must persevere in telling cultists Scripture truth and let the sword of the Spirit penetrate their hearts. But before we have the opportunity to do this, we must remember a very important truth, and that is, we must truly love the cultists though we hate the soul-killing doctrines that they have believed. Also, genuine love is Christ in action in our lives. We will never win them unless they see His love in us. And as we deal with those entangled in false teaching, we must under no circumstances ever forget what we were before we came to Christ. Also, let us not forget what He has done for us, and that He is willing and able to do the same in their lives!
