There are many great advantages to studying the Bible at your computer. One of them is the flexibility to study at your own pace. Being online, and in the comforts of your home or office, certainly makes the process easier, but it will require some discipline on the part of every student. Since the student can study when they have time, enough time must be delegated.
Most computers, that I am familiar with today, have media players that will allow you to start the audio, pause it if you need, and listen as you have the time to do so. But frequent “starts and stops” can become habits of procrastination if left unattended. Oh. I know that interruptions will occur, but we must be steadfast in our commitment to return as quickly as possible to resume the study period.
An important fact to remember is that Bible Study should never be done on the run. Any manner of study that does not allow the time to pray, thoroughly absorb the contents of the lesson, and look for practical applications, should be avoided. The serious Bible student will set aside the time to listen carefully in order to gain the greatest benefits and enjoy the material. All the BBN BI courses are designed with this time factor in mind. All the lessons last about one hour which will allow the student to listen and complete the short quiz in an hour or less.
Many of you have written to say, “now I am ready to study God’s Word” and to ask, “where is the best place to start my studies?” Well, with over 100 courses available to choose from, this can be a challenge. BBN BI has recently added a Division of Introductory courses to help you get started at the right place and in the right manner. Just select the division number 00000 and then make a selection from those courses. Most students have found that they wish to first study 00100 the Basics of the Christian Faith, while others have chosen 00900 The Doctrine of Salvation. Now we have another great course that we would like to recommend. This course is 00300 called the Introduction to the Bible and it is taught by Dr. Manford Gutzke.
Dr. Gutzke, in these lessons, covers many important facts about the Bible and how the student should approach the study of it. Why not begin studying this new course right away? It will provide valuable insight into this topic of Bible Study and why it should be done methodically and with much consideration of the time given to it.
Thank you again for your desire to study and to learn more about God and His Precious Book. If you have questions about this newest course or any of the course material, please let us know.
