Completing the study of the Gospel of Luke, chapters 23 and 24. Luke often severely condenses accounts, yet also sometimes tells us things no other Gospel account does. The one malefactor on the cross turning to Jesus is one of these things only Luke tells us. When the risen Christ said "Peace unto you" it was the ordinary greeting of the East, but on His lips the ordinary had become extraordinary.
