biographies:

John Hunter was born in Liverpool in 1909. He trained as a teacher but often took the time to preach the Gospel in nearby towns, traveling the 20 or 30 miles on his bicycle. John Hunter continued his teaching career until 1960, at which time he stepped out on faith and became a missionary. Dr. Hunter wrote more than 20 books as well as adult Sunday school lessons. He traveled the world teaching and preaching in Bible Conferences until early in 1994, at which time he suffered a stroke. John Hunter went to be with the Lord in October, 2005, at the age of 96.      

Howard Hendricks is Distinguished Professor and Chairman of the Center for Christian Leadership at Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Hendricks as written many books about marriage and family life, and spends considerable time conducting marriage enrichment seminars. For over 50 years, he has touched the lives of thousands of students at Dallas Seminary. Dr. Hendricks handles a rigorous speaking schedule, ministering personally in over 80 countries. His impact is furthered through books, radio, tapes and films.

George Gardiner pastored churches in Dayton, Ohio and Grand Rapids, Michigan, before the Lord called him home. He served on various Mission Boards and was a featured Bible conference speaker for many years. He was known for his extensive Bible knowledge.

He has an extensive Bible conference ministry all over the world.

biography:

Ian Thomas was the Founder and International Director of Torchbearers of the Capernwray Missionary Fellowship. With the intention of becoming a missionary in Africa, he studied medicine at London University for 2 years. At age 19, God called Ian Thomas into an evangelistic and Bible teaching ministry which has spread around the world, in the utilization of Bible schools and conference centers. Ian Thomas passed away August 1 of 2007.

Frank Logsdon was a respected evangelical pastor and popular Bible conference speaker. He pastored Moody Memorial Church in Chicago in the 1950's. Prior to that, he pastored in London, Ontario, where he taught at the London Bible Institute. Frank Logsdon passed away in Largo, Florida in 1987.

A.W. Tozer was saved at the age of 17. Throughout his life and ministry, Dr. Tozer called believers to return to a biblical position of deep faith and holiness. Dr. Tozer pastored several churches and authored more than 40 books- a tremendous accomplishment for a man  who never received a formal theological education. Although A.W. Tozer died in 1963, his life and spiritual legacy continue to draw many into a deeper knowledge of God. 

Warren Wiersbe is a well known international Bible conference teacher with a heart for missions and is a former pastor of Moody Church in Chicago. He is the author of more than 80 books. Dr. Wiersbe is known as a "pastor's pastor", and his speaking, writing and radio ministries have brought new understanding of the truths of God's Word to people around the world.

Allen Fleece was a professor at Moody Bible Institute and Columbia Bible College for many years. He also pastored the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee and served on the mission field. In his latter years, Allen Fleece served as President of Columbia Bible College from 1953 to 1966.

Bob Kraning is a pastor of men's ministries in Fullerton California. He served for 26 years as Executive Director of the Forest Home Christian Conference Center in Southern California, and is highly respected for his Bible teaching on the family and personal attitudes.

Alan Redpath was born in the United Kingdom in 1907. He trained as an accountant, but soon felt the call to preach, and became an evangelist. Dr. Redpath is best known as the former Pastor of the Moody Church in Chicago, serving from 1953 to 1962. In 1966, Alan Redpath began an itinerant conference and missionary ministry, in which he labored for the Lord for many years. Dr. Redpath passed away in 1989 in Birmingham, England.

 Robert Greene (R.G.) Lee began his career on a farm in South Carolina where he was born of poor, but deeply religious parents. Early in life he felt the call to be a preacher; in spite of many obstacles, he heeded that call. Dr. Lee was ordained at his boyhood church in Fort Mill, South Carolina in 1910. He was pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee from December, 1927, until April, 1960. Dr. R.G. Lee preached his famous sermon- Pay Day, Someday- over 1200 times all over the world. He passed away in July of 1978 at his home in Memphis.   

Renald Showers is an author and Bible teacher for The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, Inc. He is the author of numerous books, including What on Earth is God Doing?, There Really Is a Difference, and Maranatha: Our Lord Come. Dr. Showers has served in the pastorate, and as a member of the faculties of Lancaster Bible College, Moody Bible Institute and Philadelphia College of the Bible. He is also a visiting lecturer at Word of Life Bible Institute. Dr. Showers is a graduate of Wheaton College, Dallas Theological Seminary and Grace Theological Seminary.

Stanley Collins is a former pastor. He also served as the Director of the Forest Home Christian Conference Center in southern California. Just before retirement, Dr. Collins served as minister at large for the Conference Center.

Earl Radmacher has spent his life teaching people how to develop a closer walk with God through a fuller knowledge of Him.  He is currently doing just that as he travels the world speaking at many conferences.  He logs more miles in a year than most do in a lifetime. He is presently the President Emeritus of Western Baptist Seminary. 

Richard Strauss was the Senior Pastor of the Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido, California, and a noted Bible conference speaker. He was a graduate of Wheaton College and Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Strauss went home to be with the Lord in 1993. 

Harold Wildish was born in England in 1903 and was converted to Christ at the age of 12. Six years later, he preached his first message to a group of late night English drinkers. In 1925, Mr .Wildish sailed to the Amazon with 35 dollars and a heart full of faith. Years later, malaria forced him to leave the Amazon and head to the West Indies. Harold Wildish spent the rest of his life in Jamaica as a missionary for the Plymouth Brethren. He passed away in 1982.

D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones was born in Wales. At the age of 13, he moved to London. It was here that he trained for a medical career. However, Dr. Lloyd-Jones abandoned medicine for the Gospel ministry. In 1943 he succeeded G. Campbell Morgan as Pastor of Westminster Chapel in London. Martin Lloyd-Jones was known for his homiletical, expository and devotional preaching and teaching. He passed away in 1981 at the age of 81.  

Stephen Olford was born in West Africa of missionary parents. He was educated in England, and earned his doctorate at Luther Rice Seminary. Dr. Olford was recognized for his powerful exposition of scripture, and his Christ-centered ministry. Dr. Olford was founder and senior lecturer of the Stephen Olford Center for Biblical Preaching. Stephen Olford passed into the presence of the Lord late Sunday night, August 29, 2004, at the age of 86.

John Whitcomb is president of Whitcomb Ministries, Inc., and founder and professor of Christian Workman Schools of Theology. Dr. Whitcomb has taught the Old Testament and theology for more than 50 years, and is widely recognized as a leading Biblical scholar. 

Vance Havner was a revivalist who had a quick wit. He was a popular speaker and his extensive Bible knowledge made him an effective preacher. Dr. Havner was a native of Catawba County, North Carolina. He preached his first sermon at the age of 12, and was ordained at the age of 15. Vance Havner pastored in North and South Carolina and became a full-time evangelist in the 1930's. He went home to be with the Lord in 1986 and the age of 84.

John DeBrine served 11 years as the pastor to the church that founded New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. He is also heard on a daily radio broadcast that started in 1964. Dr. DeBrine's speaking schedule takes him to churches and conferences all across the country. Whether on the air or at a speaking engagement, he frequently calls on his many experiences and his unique sense of humor in his sound teaching of Biblical truth.  

Paul Van Gorder pastored several churches and for a number of  years was the Associate Teacher on the Radio Bible Class. Because of his thorough knowledge and application of the Word, Dr. Van Gorder was a popular Bible conference speaker. He is now retired from the ministry.  

William Culbertson was President of Moody Bible Institute for 23 years, and was appointed as the school's first chancellor in 1971, shortly before his death that same year. Dr. Culbertson also spoke at Bible conferences around the world. Above all, he lived in God's Word and therefore always had a word from God. 

Curtis Hutson was the editor of the Sword of the Lord, an independent Christian publication. He was a noted Pastor and Bible conference speaker. Dr. Hutson's messages are from his years of ministry at Forest Hills Baptist Church in Atlanta. He is now with the Lord.

Josh McDowell is a Christian apologist, evangelist and writer. He is the author or co-author of some 77 books. As an atheist in college, Josh decided to prepare a paper that would examine the historical evidence of the Christian faith in order to disprove it. However, he converted to Christianity because of his research. Part of Josh McDowell's speaking ministry has focused on youth issues such as purity and developing faith and character

Donald Barnhouse pastored the Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia for 33 years. Dr. Barnhouse was the speaker on the Bible Study Hour program as well as editor of Eternity magazine. He was renowned as a Bible expositor and teacher, and was recognized as one of America's great preachers and conference speakers. Dr. Barnhouse passed away in 1960.  

Myron Augsburger is a distinguished author and lecturer who has served as President of Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, Virginia, as well as President of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. An internationally-known speaker, Dr. Augsburger has conducted preaching missions in major cities around the world.

He has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and the world, bringing the gospel to the lost. Dr. Toussaint is an accomplished author of books and articles, and has been listed in the Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities.

Tom Taylor is a graduate of Bryan College and Faith Theological Seminary. He is the retired Emeritus Associate Professor of Church History and O.T. at Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. Dr. Taylor's teaching career in biblical studies spans 37 years. He remains active in radio, writing and conference ministries across the U.S

biographies:
Dave Barba directs the Dave Barba Evangelistic Association in Indianapolis, Indiana. His ministry involves teaming up with church planters and assisting them in establishing churches. Dave also assists church planters who are struggling and he conducts revival meetings to strengthen existing churches. Dave Barba has been singing on BBN for many years.

Bruce Dunn was senior pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, Illinois, where he served for over 40 years. He was best known for his weekly half-hour radio broadcast, The Grace Worship Hour. Out of a small beginning in 1951 came a worldwide radio outreach ministry. Dr. Dunn passed away in 1993.   

Vance Havner was a revivalist who had a quick wit. He was a popular speaker and his extensive Bible knowledge made him an effective preacher. Dr. Havner was a native of Catawba County, North Carolina. He preached his first sermon at the age of 12, and was ordained at the age of 15. Vance Havner pastored in North and South Carolina and became a full-time evangelist in the 1930's. He went home to be with the Lord in 1986 and the age of 84.

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Brian Birdwell is a survivor of the terrorists' attacks on September 11, 2001 at the Pentagon. Burns consumed over half of his body, resulting in the need of more than 30 surgeries, intensive skin grafts and painful burn treatments. Because of their devotion to God, Brian, his wife, Mel and their son remained solid in their spiritual convictions and integrity throughout this difficult trial.  The Birdwell's were led to start Face the Fire Ministries, which gives hope and encouragement to burn victims and their families. 

Dewey Bertolini has been a high school youth pastor, faculty member and professor of youth ministries. He currently serves in the pastorate of  New Hope Community Fellowship in McMinnville, Oregon. In addition, Mr. Bertolini has led 13 study tours of Israel, and continues an extensive speaking and writing ministry.

J. Sidlow Baxter is known worldwide through his prolific writing ministry. He wrote over 30 books that have sold by the hundreds of thousands. In 1951, Dr. Baxter left the pastorate in Scotland to begin a teaching ministry in America. His last days were spent in Santa Barbara, California. Dr. Baxter went to be with the Lord late in December of 1999 at the age of 96.

Ian Thomas was the Founder and International Director of Torchbearers of the Capernwray Missionary Fellowship. With the intention of becoming a missionary in Africa, he studied medicine at London University for 2 years. At age 19, God called Ian Thomas into an evangelistic and Bible teaching ministry which has spread around the world, in the utilization of Bible schools and conference centers. Ian Thomas passed away August 1 of 2007.

Chuck Milhuff is an evangelist with a great sense of humor and a biblical message that is memorable, which challenges our faith. He is popular with young people, as he is a frequent speaker at Christian camps.

Renald Showers is an author and Bible teacher for The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, Inc. He is the author of numerous books, including What on Earth is God Doing?, There Really Is a Difference, and Maranatha: Our Lord Come. Dr. Showers has served in the pastorate, and as a member of the faculties of Lancaster Bible College, Moody Bible Institute and Philadelphia College of the Bible. He is also a visiting lecturer at Word of Life Bible Institute. Dr. Showers is a graduate of Wheaton College, Dallas Theological Seminary and Grace Theological Seminary.

Jack Wyrtzen was the man God used to found and direct the worldwide ministries of Word of Life Fellowship for 50 years. He went to be with the Lord in 1996 at the age of 82. Jack Wyrtzen was an evangelist, friend, visionary leader, soul-winner and example to those who have been blessed through his ministry. God used him to reach thousands who will be eternally grateful for his faithfulness while "Holding forth the Word of Life."

Al Janney and a group of his peers met in August, 1972, in Miami, Florida to form the American Association of Christian Schools. Dr. Janney then served for twenty years as the Association's first president. He still travels extensively speaking for the cause of Christ and Christian education.  

Attorney David Gibbs Jr. is founder and president of the Christian Law Association, which is a ministry of legal helps. It has provided free legal assistance to Bible-believing churches and Christians since 1969.  This assistance from CLA includes defense of those facing legal difficulties for the Biblical faith as well as counsel for their ministries.

A.W. Tozer was saved at the age of 17. Throughout his life and ministry, Dr. Tozer called believers to return to a biblical position of deep faith and holiness. Dr. Tozer pastored several churches and authored more than 40 books- a tremendous accomplishment for a man  who never received a formal theological education. Although A.W. Tozer died in 1963, his life and spiritual legacy continue to draw many into a deeper knowledge of God. 

Ken Poure has proclaimed the message of Christ in hundreds of Family Forums across the nation. Ken is well-known for practical, humorous and down-to-earth teaching and preaching. The author of several books on the family, Dr. Poure's ministry and counseling offer practical solutions to problems we face in our families, marriages and personal walks.
