For many years, Rev. Lindsay Poteat has helped us prepare for Sunday school. Rev. Poteat presents a fifteen-minute Sunday school lesson each Sunday morning. Rev. Poteat is executive superintendent of the Peninsula Rescue Mission in Newport News, Va., and is a native of Suffolk, Va. Lindsay Poteat, became a Christian in 1961 and began preaching that same year. Brother Poteat graduated from Piedmont Bible College in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in theology. He received the Lehman Strauss expository preaching award that year. He has pastored full time for nine years, and ministered at the Rescue Mission since 1983. During that tenure, he has served a number of churches in an interim capacity. He is currently doing pulpit supply at Bible Way Fellowship in Newport News, VA.
