FC169- Not the End of the World (The Loose Tooth Tale)

Over the years, there’s been a lot of DRAMA in the lives of the McIntire family and their friends.  Cousin Sheila was famous for her “Sheila Moments”—those embarrassing times when crazy things happened to her.  The strange thing was that Sheila didn’t really mind talking about those embarrassing events.  In fact, she thought it was a good chance to remind Tori and others that “This too shall pass” even if it seems like the world has come crashing down around you.

You see, some things are serious…but some things really are not.

Join us for the story of when Ambia tried to pull her own tooth out, leading to a mild case of whiplash, a couple facial bruises and a very soggy sweater.  Saturday and Wednesday—or on-demand right here on Faith Crossing.

FC100 Déjà Vu All Over Again

At certain times we go from student to teacher, passing along some bit a wisdom to a friend who’s struggling with an issue that we already faced.  In some ways it’s more fun being on the “teacher” end, isn’t it? God didn’t tell us to just endure the journey, but to use what we’ve learned to make a difference in the lives of others.

This week on Faith Crossing…a rare look behind the scenes with interviews and outtakes from the first 100 programs in the Faith Crossing series, as Tori becomes the teacher.  We’ll continue to travel down the sometimes bumpy road of life as we consider what the McIntires went through in making their transition to the town of Faith Crossing...A LOT of change—which maybe you can relate to.

Join us Saturdays and Wednesdays on BBN and on-demand right here at BBNRadio.org.  Faith Crossing…exploring the journey of change with you.

FC68- Stop Picking At It

As cousin Sheila was leaving town for her new job as a camp counselor, she was alarmed by what she was hearing about her old boyfriend Eric.  He'd been showing signs that he might be thinking about taking his own life.

Suicide is one the leading causes of death among teens and college students. There are a number of warning signs, including changes in sleeping and eating habits, withdrawal from friends and others, giving away prized possessions, drinking, violent behavior, headaches, and feeling worthless all the time.

This week Eric's uncle challenges him to let go of the bitterness of the past.  Will he?

Join us this week as we consider this very important issue and explore the journey faith with you.  Saturday, Wednesday and on-demand here at BBNRadio.org.

FC65- Remember Skorchy

Tori’s cousin Sheila is an adventurous girl who’s not shy about talking about her exciting achievements--even when they’re better described as mini-disasters.  But Sheila’s not feeling quite so adventurous lately.  She’s been offered an opportunity to do something that she loves.  The problem is that she’s never been more than 50 miles from home, and this place is definitely more than 50 miles away.  So, what should she do?

Join us for Faith Crossing as we consider the challenge of change.  Saturday and Wednesday—or on-demand here at BBNRadio.org.

FC64- A Good Thing Going Bad, Pt. 5

Teamwork is about more than just athletes competing together on the playing field.  Teamwork is important in various areas of life.  In Amos 3:3, we read, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

On Faith Crossing, Sheila is finally realizing that teamwork is important in her desire to get married, too.  If Jesus Christ is at the center of our lives, how can we ignore the fact that a potential life partner wants little to do with Him or the Church?

Sheila's boyfriend Eric has been devastated by family problems and now has turned his back on the church.  How should Sheila respond?

Join us this week for Faith Crossing as we explore the journey of faith with you...Saturday, Wednesday and ON-DEMAND here at BBNRadio.org.

FC61 A Good Thing Going Bad, Pt.2

On Faith Crossing we find that Sheila's boyfriend Eric has been doing some things he shouldn’t.  Why?  Is it related to his Dad's sinful choices regarding his marriage?  Unfortunately, some time in your life somebody you trust is going to disappoint you.  Does that justify throwing all that you’ve believed out the window?

This week on Faith Crossing, a warning that our bad choices can severely affect the ones around us.  And a reminder that despite the sins of others, we can choose the right path anyway.

Explore the journey of Faith...on Faith Crossing.  That's Saturday, Wednesday and on-demand here at BBNRadio.org.

FC168- Alan & the Reunion-2

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” isn’t really true, is it?  Words are powerful tools—for good or for bad.  When it comes to our words and actions, what lasting impact are you making?  Another way to ask it:  “How do you want to be remembered at your 30-year High School reunion?

Luke 6:31:  And as ye would that men do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Alan McIntire had a hard time deciding whether or not to go to his class reunion.  There were a lot of good things about his years at Renaythew Christian Academy, but one sour note stands out…played off-key by his nemesis Walter Slumpy, Sr.  Let’s find out how things went at the reunion as you join us this week.

Saturday and Wednesday—or on-demand—join us for Faith Crossing…exploring the journey of faith with you.

FC167- Alan & the Reunion

Ephesians 4 says to LET ALL BITTERNESS, AND WRATH, AND ANGER, AND CLAMOUR AND EVIL SPEAKING, BE PUT AWAY FROM YOU....but bitterness can follow us for years...if we let it. In the town of Faith Crossing, Alan McIntire receives an invitation to his High School Reunion, and it gets him thinking about the folly of holding on to grudges.

Faith Crossing Saturday, Wednesday or on-demand at BBNRadio.org.

FC55- TORI’S GOT DESIGNS Tori McIntire searched high and low for her “niche” in life. Fashion design, maybe? Maybe not, as she gets some pointed and disturbing critiques from her "friends." Hey, what would people think if they could hear everything we said about them? Would they be happy? Would WE be embarrassed? Encouraging you to let your words build people up…not tear them down…join us Saturday and Wednesday—and on-demand for Faith Crossing. Exploring the journey of faith with you.
It would be hard enough if the Bible told us to resist the urge to be nasty to those "problem people" in our lives and to calmly tolerate them as best we could. But the Scriptures go beyond that to say we should BLESS those who persecute us. WHAT??

Walter Slumpy has been a thorn in the side of Tori's brother Brian for years. How SHOULD he treat Slumpy--by throwing pies in his face...by tripping him as he walks by in the cafeteria...or by blessing him?

Some thoughts on how to treat the "difficult person" in your life as we explore the journey of faith on Faith Crossing this weekend...on your radio or on-demand here at BBNRadio.org starting Saturday.
