George Sweeting is the Chancellor Emeritus of Moody Bible Institute where he has served for 30 years. Before that, he served as the Senior Pastor of historic Moody Church in Chicago. Carl Armerding was born in 1883 in New Jersey. As a young man, he served as a missionary in Honduras and the British West Indies. Later on as he returned to the U.S., Carl Armerding served on the North American Council of China Inland Mission. He also taught at Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College. Mr. Armerding spoke at many Bible conferences and wrote several books.

John Hunter was born in Liverpool in 1909. He trained as a teacher but often took the time to preach the Gospel in nearby towns, traveling the 20 or 30 miles on his bicycle. John Hunter continued his teaching career until 1960, at which time he stepped out on faith and became a missionary. Dr. Hunter wrote more than 20 books as well as adult Sunday school lessons. He traveled the world teaching and preaching in Bible Conferences until early in 1994, at which time he suffered a stroke. John Hunter went to be with the Lord in 2005 at the age of 96.

Alden Gannett was a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary for many years when in 1960 the opportunity was presented to become President of Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama. Dr.Gannett served 25 years there, training young men and women to serve their Lord around the world. The college had a radio program which he took over as one of his responsibilities. That started his radio ministry that continued until his passing a few years ago.

Bob Gage is a 70-year old Baptist minister and Christian author. He has pastored in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, Florida, and in New York City. Dr. Gage currently serves as pastor of First Baptist Church in Dunkirk, New York. He founded the Christian Writers League in 1996 and has been active in radio broadcasts.

R.G. (Robert Greene) Lee began his career on a farm in South Carolina where he was born of poor, but deeply religious parents. Early in life he felt the call to be a preacher; in spite of many obstacles, he heeded that call. Dr. Lee was ordained at his boyhood church in Fort Mill, South Carolina in 1910. He was pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee from December, 1927, until April, 1960. Dr. R.G. Lee preached his famous sermon- Pay Day, Someday- over 1200 times all over the world. He passed away in July of 1978 at his home in Memphis.

Walter Martin was a recognized authority on religions having their origins in the United States. He was the Founder and President of the Christian Research Institute. Walter Martin pioneered the development of seminars dealing with cults and the problems of secularism in education. Dr. Martin was an excellent resource on Christian apologetics, having authored 12 books and scores of articles and tracts. Walter Martin went home to Glory in 1989.

Larry Crabb is a well-known psychologist, conference and seminar speaker, Bible teacher, author, and founder/director of NewWay Ministries. Henry Brandt earned a doctorate from Cornell University in marriage and family relations and had the ability to provide insight into the subject of the family from a biblical perspective. For more than five decades Dr. Henry Brandt served the Lord as a pioneer in biblical counseling. He was a trusted adviser to Christian ministries, a popular conference speaker, and a widely read author. Dr. Brandt died November 24, 2008 of complications related to Parkinson’s disease. He was 92.

Donald Barnhouse pastored the Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia for 33 years. Dr. Barnhouse was the speaker on the Bible Study Hour program as well as editor of Eternity magazine. Harold Wildish was born in England in 1903 and was converted to Christ at the age of 12. Six years later, he preached his first message to a group of late night English drinkers. In 1925, Harold Wildish sailed to the Amazon with 35 dollars and a heart full of faith. Years later, malaria forced him to leave the Amazon and head to the West Indies. Harold Wildish spent the rest of his life in Jamaica as a missionary for the Plymouth Brethren. He passed away in 1982.

Joe B. Brown was Senior Pastor of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina from 1984 until he retired in March of this year. Before coming to Charlotte, Dr. Brown also pastored churches in Kentucky for 10 years.

24- Oratorio: Handel's Messiah is one of the greatest works of it's kind ever written by man. It was composed in the incredibly short span of 24 days in 1741. Handel used as his text certain passages selected from the Bible.

Vance Havner was a revivalist whose quick wit and wisdom made him a popular Bible conference speaker. Dr. Havner pastored in North and South Carolina and wrote 38 devotional books. Vance Havner went home to be with the Lord in 1986 at the age of 84.

Ian Thomas was the Founder and International Director of Torchbearers of the Capernwray Missionary Fellowship. With the intention of becoming a missionary in Africa, he studied medicine at London University for 2 years. Lt. Col. (Ret.) Brian Birdwell is a survivor of the terrorists' attacks on September 11, 2001 at the Pentagon. Burns consumed over half of his body, resulting in the need of more than 30 surgeries, intensive skin grafts and painful burn treatments. Because of their devotion to God, Brian, his wife, Mel and their son remained solid in their spiritual convictions and integrity throughout this difficult trial. The Birdwell's were led to start Face the Fire Ministries, which gives hope and encouragement to burn victims and their families. Brian was elected to the Texas State Senate last year.

Josh McDowell is a Christian apologist, evangelist and writer. He is the writer or co-author of 120 books. As an atheist in college, Josh decided to prepare a paper that would examine the historical evidence of the Christian faith in order to disprove it. However, he converted to Christianity because of his research. Part of Josh McDowell's speaking ministry has focused on youth issues such as purity and developing faith and character. He has addressed more than 10 million young people, giving over 24,000 talks in 118 countries. Josh completes 50 years in ministry next month.

Royal Blue faithfully served over 40 years as founding senior pastor of the North Valley Baptist Church in Redding, California until his retirement in 2002. He also began Shasta Bible College 40 years ago and was used by the Lord to help start a Christian radio station for northern California at that time. A Christian conference center was another project Royal Blue was instumental in developing. His writings have appeared in many books and publications.

John Blanchard is an internationally known Christian preacher, teacher, apologist and author. He was born on the Channel Island of Guernsey in 1932 and was saved at the age of 22. Dr. Blanchard began his full-time preaching ministry in 1962, which has taken him to many countries all around the world. Oswald Smith was one of the most versatile Christian leaders in the history of the Christian church. Perhaps never has one man done so many different things well. Oswald Smith was a pastor, evangelist, missionary statesman, author, hymn writer, world traveler, poet and editor. It all centered in Toronto, Canada, where he pastored the Peoples Church from 1915 to 1959. Bedridden for the last months of his life, Oswald Smith passed away in January, 1986 at the age of 96.

Ralph Keiper traveled the world over, spoke at countless Bible conferences and will be remembered for his courage and spiritual vision. He was legally blind at birth and only had limited vision in one eye. He was saved as a teenager at a Bible conference where Donald Grey Barnhouse was speaking. Ralph Keiper pastored two churches, and taught at Philadelphia College of the Bible for 9 years. Later, Mr. Keiper taught at Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary and served as a conference speaker. He passed away in 1996 at the age of 85.

Royal Blue faithfully served over 40 years as founding senior pastor of the North Valley Baptist Church in Redding, California until his retirement in 2002. He also began Shasta Bible College 40 years ago and was used by the Lord to help start a Christian radio station for northern California at that time. A Christian conference center was another project Royal Blue was instumental in developing. His writings have appeared in many books and publications.

Theodore Epp a graduate of Southwestern Theological Seminary, began his ministry as a pastor in Oklahoma, where he received his first taste of radio preaching. Mr. Epp moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, to establish the Back to the Bible Broadcast. That was May 1, 1939. Dr. Epp served as General Director for the broadcast until 1984. He continued to serve the ministry as well as perform other speaking engagements until his death in 1985. Theodore Epp was known for his quiet, but thorough teaching of the Word.

Ted Rendall served for 43 years on the staff of Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada, as a faculty member, as an administrator, and as editor of the Institute's monthly periodicals. For 6 years, he served as Institute President. For 23 years of his time at Prairie, Dr. Rendall also served as Senior Pastor of the campus church, the Prairie Tabernacle Congregation. He is the author of several books and now serves as Lecturer at the Stephen Olford Center at Union University. Dr. Rendall and his wife have traveled extensively, speaking and preaching at conferences and churches in over 30 countries.

Andrew Telford was one of the great Bible teachers of the past century. He had the unique ability to open the pages of Scripture and make them come alive. Dr. Telford pastored churches in both Canada and the United States. After his last pastorate, he began a Bible teaching ministry that covered the Eastern United States. Dr. Telford went home to be with the Lord in November of 1997 at the age of 102.

Dave Breese was saved as a teenager in Chicago. Dave founded the ministry of Christian Destiny in 1963 and was influencial in the establishment of the AWANA Youth Association. He was heard on several radio broadcasts during his career. Dave Breese was a popular speaker at churches, Bible conferences, universities and evangelistic meetings. The Lord called him home to heaven in 2002 at the age of 75.

Ralph Keiper traveled the world over, spoke at countless Bible conferences and will be remembered for his courage and spiritual vision. He was legally blind at birth and only had limited vision in one eye. He was saved as a teenager at a Bible conference where Donald Grey Barnhouse was speaking. Ralph Keiper pastored two churches, and taught at Philadelphia College of the Bible for 9 years. Later, Mr. Keiper taught at Conservative Baptist Theological Seminary and served as a conference speaker. He passed away in 1996 at the age of 85.
