 The Rest of the
Story
“Here, read this” were the words Harold heard as he reluctantly received the small Gospel tract extended to him. Harold did not know why but he put that small leaflet, Four Things God Wants You to Know, into his wallet. Many months later, sorting through his wallet and discarding unneeded items, Harold found that tract. He read it several times and became thoroughly convinced of his need for the Savior. He recognized himself as helplessly sinful and guilty before the holy God of heaven. The next day while standing with the Sunday morning crowd at a Bible preaching church and singing the last verse of the Invitational Hymn, he was seized with the desperate thought, “I must receive Christ as my Savior – NOW!” Harold rushed shamelessly to the front of the auditorium to share his need with the caring Pastor. After the service he greeted well-wishers with a beaming smile and a free and happy heart.
Somehow through the years I have lost contact with Harold but I have never forgotten the impact of that little Gospel tract someone shared with him. The person that gave it to him never heard the rest of the story, but he will one day in heaven. Tracts are inexpensive, easy to carry with you, and effective in helping you to be a witness for Jesus. BBN has the business cards, ITL (Invite to Listen) cards, that we will send to you upon request and you can use these to invite friends and acquaintances to tune in to our radio stations, or web streaming, or the BI. These cards have a great question on the backside of them that make it easy to begin a conversation with others about their need for Christ. You can leave them with your tips at restaurants and mail them with your bills and letters. You can go to this link online and request some cards (Invite to Listen Cards).
There are many more like Harold out there that will respond if someone will give them a witness. We have a great course that will help you to become a better witness for Christ: 52400 Personal Evangelism, by Sumner Wemp. Why not sign up today and begin this helpful course and then tell a friend about it.
