Thank you for sharing this moment of celebration with us. Today is the 3rd birthday of BBN English Bible Institute. On June 1, 2006, after much planning, praying, preparation, work, designing, and expense the BI went online.
Our stated purpose then was: “BBNBI will offer courses in six Divisions of study. The divisions will include: Introductory Studies, Bible Doctrine, Christian Living, Bible Book Studies, Bible Character Studies, and Electives.
BBNBI is another way that the teaching of God's Word can be made available to those who otherwise might not have the privilege of studying the Bible. Through this ministry, BBN utilizes the tools already in place, to provide quality Bible teaching at no cost to the student.
If you have a desire to study the Word of God, then why not enroll today? Course size will vary with most taking about 4 to 10 hours of concentrated study. You will be instructed by some of the most gifted Bible teachers ever heard." Our goal and ministry at BBN is to “Give the Winds the Bible Voice.”
Many positive changes have occurred since that first day but our purpose has remained the same. We questioned in our minds: Will it work? How many will take advantage of an opportunity like this? Today, 19,436 students later in 117 countries, we are rejoicing in the goodness of God and the delight of seeing Him bless this step of faith and use His word to touch and transform so many lives. In our 5 languages combined we now have over 60,000 students registered to study with us.
In the English BI we began with 50 courses available and we now have 107. At the end of ’06 we had 7 students who completed all 50 courses and received their Diplomas of Biblical Studies. Now the students must complete 100 courses to receive the Biblical Studies Diploma. We currently have 46 graduates. In the last 3 years 217,579 tests have been taken. We have students ranging in age from 13 to 90 and studying in 5,148 cities around the world.
