Faith Crossing

The teen years are full of change, and BBN helps young people navigate those often turbulent years with this program. Experience the challenges of the teen years through the eyes of young Victoria McIntire and her family, as together they tackle issues such as peer pressure, friendship and the death of a family member. Through a combination of original dramas and comments from teens and adults, Faith Crossing is designed to help young people survive and thrive during the adolescent journey of faith.

Availability notice - Copies of Faith Crossing are not available.  We're sorry.  On the bright side, we still have the option to hear the program when it airs on BBN!  Thanks for enjoying the program.

Faith Crossing Schedule
*

FC134- (July 4,8) Can you call THAT a sport?

Tori McIntire is determined to win Roscoe's Coffee Shop's big contest, but Roland is not making it easy.  Now, she has to prove she's physically ready to lounge aboard a giant cruise ship.  Shouldn't be hard, right?  Think again.  But how can a girl who is nearly allergic to sweat (and once pulled a muscle playing checkers) ever going to prove she's good at a sport?!

Find out this week on Faith Crossing as we think about sports, shopping, and a little help from friends at just the right time

Saturday and Wednesday on Faith Crossing...exploring the adolescent journey of faith.

FC132- Winning the Cruise in the Early Morning (6/20 & 6/24)

Tori McIntire has spent a few days now (TOO many days, in her mind) choking down Roscoe Burger Combo Meals in anticipation of winning the Caribbean Cruise Contest reportedly sponsored by Roscoe's Coffee Shop and Alien Encounter Museum.  ("Reportedly" is the key word.  You see, Roland and Slumpy hatched this scheme, not thinking anyone would actually get the prize.)

But Tori is determined to find a way to win!

"Just one more Cosmic Blast-off Burger...that's all I need," she was heard to mumble as she drifted off to sleep the other night.

Would Tori consider sneaking out of the house in the wee hours of the morning just to have another shot at winning?  Will Roland really let ANYBODY win?

Join us Saturday and Wednesday as we continue to Quest for the Cruise...and consider the journey of faith...right here on Faith Crossing.

FC130 Win Cruise-2--6/13 & 6/17 (The Quest Continues)

It's a story of emerging excitement, impending danger and serious indigestion...and we're only on part two of our new Faith Crossing series.  Join us this week as we continue the "quest for the cruise" as Roland and Slumpy's scheme to increase business at Roscoe's Coffee Shop and Alien Encounter Museum is catching on with the citizens of Faith Crossing...but will they wish it hadn't?

Faith Crossing...Explore the journey of faith Saturday and Wednesday on BBN!

FC129- The Quest for the Cruise Begins

"Join us now, friend, as we embark on a totally perilous journey of FAITH CROSSIAN proportions," began young Tori McIntire with her usual flare.

Excuse me, Tori.  What are you doing?

"Oh, I'm just telling my friend at home what's coming up on Faith Crossing."

OK.  But since when did we decide to take a 'perilous journey?'  And 'Faith Crossian' proportions?  What are you doing?  Sitting around reading a dictionary and making up new words, too?

Tori, hiding something behind her back, said, "Um...a dictionary?  What?  Me?  I'm just trying to, like, say how excited I am about trying to win Roland's new Caribbean Cruise Contest at Roscoe's Coffee Shop and Alien Encounter Museum!"

A Caribbean Cruise?  Wow.  The guys in accounting didn't tell me we had the money for that.

"Roland hasn't exactly told Roscoe either,"  Tori said with a smile.

Join us Saturday (10:45am & 4:50pm Eastern time) and Wednesday (6:05pm Eastern) for Faith Crossing.  This story will take a while to tell, but we get started this week.

FC152- Imagine That-4

The old saying is..."You can't please ALL the people ALL the time."  But some people may try to do it anyway.

This week we hear the story of a man, his son and a way-too-pampered donkey on a journey to the city--a reminder that it's not our job to make everyone else happy.  Tune in to Faith Crossing-- Saturday and Wednesday on BBN.

FC100- Deja Vu All Over Again

This week we go back and do a little reminiscing as we review program #100 here on Faith Crossing.  In some ways, a lot has changed in the town of Faith Crossing.  (We'll get a glimpse into how Tori's changing along the road of faith.)  We'll also go behind the scenes and hear a few "bloopers"--oh, let's that to "Creative Misstatements" made by some of the folks here in town.  Consider CHANGE at the crossroads of life.

Join us this week for Faith Crossing...exploring the journey of faith with you Saturday and Wednesday here on BBN.

THE MIGHTY BLADES OF GRASS

According to one of our favorite rumors, "The Mighty Blades of Grass" was recently voted the most wimpy (or is that "wimpiest"?) nickname in high school sports history by Wimpy Nicknames, Inc., out of Keezlesnozz, M.U.

Anyway, "The Mighty Blades of Grass" is the name that the Renaythew Christian Academy sports teams have endured ever since Deacon Prattle donated some cash a few years back.  Why did he insist on that name?

Join us for our journey toward nickname enlightenment on Faith Crossing, as we explore the journey of faith and the burden of a really bad school moniker...Saturday and Wednesday here at BBNRadio.org.

FC57-"Gorgenthalenbortenblossomhoogendooley"  (Try finding that on a coffee mug at the souvenir shop.)

Yet, surprisingly enough, that was nearly Melissa McIntire's middle name...at least, that's what her mother wanted to call her in honor of all the people who had helped her on the night Tori's older sister was born.  How did she end up being named "Melissa"?  Find out this weekend as we explore the events of life that seem to be accidents, when God was in charge all along.

Saturday and Wednesday on Faith Crossing...exploring the journey of faith with you.

Sheila's Glorious Sunrise Service

Brian McIntire has a plan for Sunday morning, and it doesn't include getting up one milli-second earlier than absolutely necessary.  So why is cousin Sheila insisting that he go to Sunrise Service?  Doesn't she know that his morning philisophy embraces a "ministry of donuts" but not rising earlier than the sun?  Will she get her way?   Will the weatherman's call for raincoats and umbrellas mean that her hopes are doomed?

Join us Saturday and Wednesday for Faith Crossing.  Exploring the journey of faith on your radio, or on-line at BBNRadio.org

FC131- Christ in Every Aspect of Life

Some people--such as Walter Slumpy--think the Bible is just for old people like his parents.  (The ANCIENTS among us.)  And he thinks it's a "One Hour" book--only useful for an hour on Sunday morning when the preacher needs something to talk about.  But the Bible is designed to be sooooooooooo much more, as the kids in Faith Crossing are learning this week.

Join us Saturday and Wednesday as we're reminded that Jesus Christ is to be at the center of EVERY aspect of life.  Explore the journey of faith with us...right here on Faith Crossing.
