Amazon has some voice-enabled wireless speakers and a TV Stick that can play BBN. Once the device is set up, you just speak these words to play BBN:
“Alexa, play BBN English on TuneIn"
Unfortunately, the exact wording is set by Amazon and can't be reduced any further.
You can also invoke the BBN English stream using call letters or the frequency of some BBN stations. Like this:
"Alexa, play WYFI"
"Alexa, play WHPE Translator" (must add the word "Translator" if the station has translators)
"Alexa, play 99.7 FM" (only starts BBN if you live near a BBN station on 99.7 FM)
Alexa will also play our Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, German and Russian streams if you replace the word 'English' with one of the other languages. So you can also try:
"Alexa, play BBN Espanol on TuneIn"
"Alexa, play BBN Portuguese on TuneIn"
"Alexa, play station BBN Chinese on TuneIn" (TuneIn isn't sure why this command is slightly different.)
"Alexa, play BBN Japanese on TuneIn"
"Alexa, play BBN Korean on TuneIn"
"Alexa, play BBN German on TuneIn"
"Alexa, play BBN Russian on TuneIn"
Compatible Alexa-enabled devices made by Amazon include:
- Amazon Echo
- Amazon Echo Dot
- Amazon Tap
- Amazon TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote - Does not wake with a voice command
- Amazon Fire Tablet (5th Generation and up) – Does not wake with a voice command
