Are You Ordinary?

Are You Ordinary?

Have you ever heard a beautiful musical note come from a peacock or an eagle?  Have you noticed that it is the smaller birds that make the most beautiful melodies?

When God wants a job done, more often than not He chooses some ordinary person through whom His Spirit can work to accomplish His great plan.  Our heads are turned and often our hearts swayed by the big, impressive, or flamboyant person, program, or method.

When God wanted to begin His treasured and eternal work, the Church, He did not select experts, the impressive, or the eloquent.  He chose twelve ordinary men to begin a work that would through the centuries defy the pride of men.  God’s Holy Spirit is not a talent scout.  He looks to use in His service and for His glory those who are simple enough to trust Him, wise enough to obey His Word, and those who will be diligent and consistent in duty.

Do you realize there are more ordinary people in our world than any other kind?  It’s okay to be ordinary.  Really!

God does most often use the ordinary, but He uses those to do the greatest works who are the most prepared.  God does want us to be learning and growing.  Are you? I mean, spiritually?

The Christian is commanded in Scripture: “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing (discerning) the Word of truth.”  This is the purpose for the BBN Bible Institute BBNBI.org.  We have 116 courses available to you to teach you God’s Word.  An ordinary Christian wants to learn more, obey more, and share more of God’s Word.  Are you ordinary?
