Whenever a student moves from one page to another inside the BBNBI application, the username and password is re-checked to make sure access is allowed. This information is stored in a cookie on the student’s machine. In this situation, the cookie is not making it from our server to the student’s PC. The user name and password are being accepted by the BBNBI login security, but then when the first page attempts to load, it is not able to verify the user name and password from the cookie. Whenever the cookie cannot be seen, the result is that the full screen login page will be displayed.
This can be remedied in Internet Explorer by doing this:
1. Open Internet Explorer.2. Left-click the Tools menu at the top of the window.3. Left-click Internet Options.4. Left-click the <Privacy> tab.5. Set the vertical slider control to “Medium”.6. Left-click the <Sites...> button.7. In “Address of web site:” box, enter: http://www.bbnradio.org8. Left-click the <Allow> button.9. Left-click the <OK> button.10. Left-click the <Apply> button.11. Left-click the <OK> button.12. Go to the BBNBI web site and try to log in again.
Also Note:
If you have other personal firewall software on your computer, you must not only change the settings in Internet Explorer, but also add the BBN website to the list of approved sites there. This should solve the problem.
