What the Bible says

As you read this you may think that you are just a cosmic accident. Perhaps you feel that your body is just a conglomeration of common chemical substances and not worth much. Perhaps you have heard that just the right conditions occurred, fate interacted and so here you are today. You may wonder if there is really any difference between you and any other animal. You may feel that you are just at the end of a long line of evolved creatures and that evolution is still plodding along. Or, perhaps you may feel that possibly you have lived before as another person in a former life due to reincarnation and you have simply come back as another person due to karma.

The truth is, "You were made by God Himself for His glory!" Scripture says, "And God created man in His own image..."

Man was created by God, and was a sinless, innocent creature!  He had no sin, nothing to make him afraid or worried; no reason to fear. BUT, man wanted his own way and disobeyed God, turning from Him.

So, sin, which is wanting your own way rather than God's perfect way, quickly spread over the entire human race so that each person became a sinner at birth. You lost your connection to God and became utterly sinful. You were cut off from God with no hope within yourself of ever finding your way back to God.  Many men try their own ways, but God is holy and we are sinful. So all need a savior; a redeemer; someone to reconcile us to a Holy God. We could not do it, so God provided a Redeemer for us. The Bible says, "For while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
