January 1, 1998 - Stereo RICHI went on the air at 94.1 FM, bringing BBN Spanish programming to about 500,000 people in Portoviejo, Ecuador 24 hours a day.

January 2, 1997 - BBN went on the air via translator in Springdale, AR at 91.5 FM.

January 6, 1997 - Georgetown, SC began receiving BBN on translator at 99.9 FM.

January 10, 1999 - Maciel, Argentina received BBN Spanish programming at 88.7 FM.  The 30,000 people in the coverage area know the station as FM Vida de Maciel.

January 12, 1997 - 350,000 people in Cordoba the second largest city in Argentina began hearing BBN Spanish at 107.9 FM.

January 13, 1997 - BBN Spanish began on FM Life in San Genaro, Argentina at 96.1 FM.  About 30,000 people are under the sound of this station.

January 15, 1987 - BBN's voice in Luray, VA became WYFT.  103.9 FM began airing BBN programming on September 1, 1986.  At that time it was owned by someone else and had the call of WQAA.  BBN bought the station and the official transfer took place on January 15, 1987.

January 15, 1998 - Radio Cultural took to the air in Santa Rosa, Guatemala, at 105.5 FM.  The station reaches about 50,000 people.

January 15, 1998 - Radio Cultural TGN went on the air at 102.3 FM, bringing BBN Spanish programming to about 40,000 people in Solola, Guatemala.

January 15, 1998 - BBN Spanish began on FM Vida in San Francisco, Argentina at 107.7 FM.  About 150,000 people are under the sound of this station.

January 16, 1998 - The Brinkman area of Argentina began hearing BBN Spanish programming on 105.5 FM.  15,000 people were added to the potential listening audience.

January 17, 1999 - BBN Spanish station FM Potencia went on the air in Rio Cuarto, Argentina at 106.3 FM.

January 22, 1997 - The Griffin, GA translator went on the air at 105.9 FM.

January 23, 1999 - St. Rosa de la Pampa, Argentina began sharing BBN Spanish programming with over 150,000 people in the surrounding area at 107.3 FM.

January 25, 1997 - Radio Siloe went on the air at 90.1 FM, bringing BBN Spanish programming to about 20,000 people in Chosica, Peru.

January 29, 1999 - BBN went on the air in Lewes, DE at 91.7 FM via translator.

January 31, 1998 - 55,000 people in the San Justo, Argentina were first able to hear FM Vida at 100.7 FM.
