November 7, 1989 - WYFO, Lakeland, FL went on the air at 91.9 FM.
November 8, 1969 - Jud Mast (BBN's first announcer) married Ann Price. The Masts have been a faithful part of the BBN family since the very beginning.
November 9, 1995 - BBN went on the air via translator in Kinston, NC at 95.9 FM.
November 10, 1986 - BBN signed on 89.5 FM in Savannah, GA.
November 11, 1996 - The Cambridge, OH translator went on the air at 88.1 FM.
November 11, 1998 - FM Vida, Pilar began sharing BBN Spanish programming with over 3 million people in the surrounding area at 102.7 FM.
November 13, 2000 - The BBN Brazil station in Curitiba began it's first Share-a-thon. This was also the first Share-a-thon in the country of Brazil. As usual, a Share-a-thon couldn't get rolling without incident. The night before, a major part of the transmitter failed and the Share-a-thon began with a backup transmitter at reduced power. The Share-a-thon finished on Wednesday the 15th at 6:45 PM following 1030 phone calls from listeners promising $R174,000.
November 15, 1996 - BBN Spanish station Palabra de Vida went on the air in Monte, Argentina at 99.5 FM. This is the town where the Word of Life Bible Institute and camp are located in that country. About 10,000 people are under the sound of this station.
November 15, 1997 - Moyobamba, Peru received BBN Spanish programming at 103.5 FM. The 30,000 people in the coverage area know the station as Radio Ebenezer.
November 17, 2000 - Dr. Lowell Davey's program called Perspective was made available for on-demand web streaming for the first time at 11:05 AM.
November 18, 1997 - BBN began airing in Brunswick, GA via a translator at 104.9 FM.
November 18, 1998 - Lawrenceburg, TN began receiving BBN on translator at 88.3 FM.
November 18, 1999 - The capitol of the Argentina province of Salta began hearing BBN Spanish programming on 97.7 FM. 400,000 people were added to the potential listening audience.
November 18, 2000 - At 12:10 PM eastern, the first broadcast on the web from our Chinese studios was heard over the internet. It was a list of Christmas instrumental music used for testing the equipment before the official launch date of December 1st. BBN Engineer, Tim Young soldered the last connector just before noon and BBN Webmaster, Jeff Apthorp initiated the first stream from his home in Charlotte, NC.
November 19, 1998 - The Columbia, TN translator went on the air at 91.3 FM.
November 20, 1999 - 400,000 people in the province of Jujuy, Argentina were first able to hear FM Betania at 90.7 FM.
November 21, 1997 - Sebring, FL began receiving BBN on translator at 89.3 FM.
November 21, 1999 - Crecer FM took to the air in La Quiaca, Argentina, 24 hours a day at 103.3 FM. The station reaches about 40,000 people.
November 22, 1996 - BBN went on the air in Anderson, SC at 91.3 FM via translator.
November 22, 1996 - BBN began airing in Greenwood, SC via a translator at 102.7 FM.
November 23, 1996 - Charlotte, NC began hearing BBN via translator at 93.5 FM.
November 26, 1997 - FM Vida Abundante went on the air at 103.3 FM, bringing BBN Spanish programming to about 18,000 people in Tinogasta, Argentina.
November 30th, 2000 - BBN began streaming audio in Mandarin Chinese on the web to the public at 11 AM eastern (midnight in Bejing). Dr. Lowell Davey called from out of state on his cell phone and Chinese director, Carl Redemann held the speaker phone up to the microphone so Dr. Davey could pray and ask God's blessing on the new outreach. Right at 11 AM, we began with To God Be the Glory.
November 1994 - BBN switched from an analog 13dbw SCPC satellite feed to a digital satellite feed. Not only did we improve our on-air sound, we also cut out satellite operational costs by about 40%.
